Live Uniquely Colorful

JRS Designs Ltd has been in the works for awhile now starting as a hobby of jewelry making and drawing. It really started as an outlet to help myself get through rough patches in life. I accumulated lots of inventory over the years, but never really had the support or encouragement I needed to make it into a living. Without my art and crafty ways I may never have left the abusive relationship I was living in. These have really become a form of therapy for me during some very dark times. Having moved on from everything that was holding me back my creativity has really come back and flourished and I’ve branched out into other artistic mediums.
Sometimes the hardest things in life are your biggest encouragements to grow beyond your perceived boundaries. I took a leap of faith after my fiancé passed away, and left my job and went all in. He encouraged me to keep pushing and make my dreams a reality. He never got to see that, but I know he’s still there encouraging me all the way. I’ve grown a lot since then as a person and an artist. I have the greatest support team behind me helping me make all this happen.
      I love to create with different colors and textures and have brought the love for the Maine coast into my works. Sand dollars and shells I’ve collected for years are slowly transforming with my love for Tye dye. Individually dying each piece layering colors and adding gold leaf accents. 
       My love for color turned me in the direction of Tye dye and since then I can’t get enough. I love up cycling white items and giving them a new look for a new life. Possibilities are endless when starting with a blank slate. 
     All of my shells have been hand picked from the Maine coast all unique and beautiful in their own way. Each piece is hand dipped multiple times to achieve the final color.
